About Me

Hannele LaFranceHi! I'm Hannele LaFrance.

I was born in Finland and immigrated to the USA as a young lady to further my foreign language studies. After receiving my Associates degree, I attended the Universities of Helsinki and Portland State. For six years I worked as a medical technologist for International Chemical and Nuclear in Portland. While still in Finland, I worked for the Save the Children Foundation. I continue with child education classes and training workshops to keep up on the latest. I taught a children’s performing group of fifty five children called Sunshine Generation for a few years.

During the school year I teach ballroom dancing two evenings per week for Evergreen and East county Community Education and occasionally I teach dancing for different church groups.

We have a family of six children and several grand children. None of our children live with us. As a family we enjoy camping, snow skiing, hiking, playing games etc.
